How to get access
Behind the Work is free for subscribers to The AI Developer. You can start working immediately, with one calendar month to confirm your subscription.
- Create your account. Choose a handle and display name, create a passkey, and save your recovery code. We do not ask for an email address in this app.
- Subscribe for free to The AI Developer. You can skip this step if you are already subscribed.
- Send us a private message on Substack. Open Account in your workspace and copy your account reference. Message Giorgio on Substack with that reference and your app handle, so we can connect your app account to the correct Substack account.
- Enter your confirmation code. We check your subscription and send you a personal, single-use code. Enter it on your Account page to confirm access.
If you are still waiting for our reply near the end of your confirmation month, message us; we can extend your access while we review the request.
Keeping your account active
Keep your subscription to The AI Developer active. If a later check finds that you are no longer subscribed, we contact you on Substack and give you seven days to resubscribe and confirm. After that, editing and publishing are frozen and public project links show an unavailable page. You can still read and export your saved work. Confirmation restores your access and the same links.
Private project storage
Projects without an available public edition can be permanently deleted after two calendar months without a saved change. We show warnings inside the app at least 14 days before deletion, with a final warning during the last seven days. Save a change while your account is active to keep a project, or export a copy. Published projects are protected from inactivity deletion.
